These new photos from Gelang Patah Training Group were taken recently during training. The students were introduced to tekubi kansetsu-waza (wrist joint locks) to emphasize the application of hikite in training. The applications were applied to self-defence applications and the partner opposing was encouraged to give maximum resistance (Give the other fella a hard time lah!!). We also practiced neck chokes and follow-up take down techniques.

Not your run-of-the-mill age uke!!

Keep YOUR wrist straight… and his bent… and pull in the hikite…

…. and Bob’s your uncle!!!!
